The First Sign
In 1986, father-son team Roy and Ray Titus opened the first Signarama store in Farmingdale, New York, United States. It wasn’t long before that first store showed signs of success, so much so that Roy and Ray expanded with a second location in North Palm Beach, Florida. Just one year after the first store opened for business, Signarama started our franchise journey and our brand has been a staple and industry-changer ever since. Ray Titus is still very active in the business, holding the position of CEO.
Since 1986, Signarama has enjoyed tremendous success. We were named the #1 sign franchise by Entrepreneur magazine in the same year that we were ranked #74 overall on their prestigious list ranking all franchise opportunities, the Franchise 500. We have established ourselves as leaders in the sign industry and we are proud to be rated one of the top franchise opportunities out there. We intend to remain the top sign business by always providing our customers with the superior products and service that they are used to.

Our CEO Ray Titus is more than a brilliant business mind; he is also a philanthropist who cares for children around the world. To help children gain improved opportunities for a better life, including education and healthcare, he started the United Franchise Group Foundation.
