What a lot of our digital signage franchise owners learn is that almost any question you have about the franchise investment is answered in the franchise disclosure document (FDD). Signarama has been a leader in the franchise space for quite some time, and we regularly update our FDD with the changes regarding our franchise investment.
Here are some frequently asked questions about our franchise costs and a guide to where in the FDD you will find the best answers. The FDD is a comprehensive document covering just about every aspect about our opportunity, so there’s no way to fit all the information here. If you would like to take a deeper dive into this resource, just get in touch with us to request a copy!
How much should I expect to invest?
If you have questions about the investment that are not answered on our “Turnkey Investment” page, the FDD covers the costs you can expect in Items 5, 6, and 7.
Item 5 provides a detailed summary of your initial fees, particularly the franchise fee. Signarama offers discounts to eligible United States military veterans as well, which is also covered in Item 5. In Item 7, you will find more details on your initial investment in addition to your franchise fee. This includes equipment, real estate charges, travel and living expenses during training, and much more. Finally, Item 6 of the FDD is dedicated to any additional fees that you should expect, such as royalty payments, training costs, and marketing fund fees. Signarama will not surprise you with any charges hidden in the fine print. We lay everything out clearly, so you know what to expect.
Do I have financing options?
If you cannot fulfill the entire franchise investment all at once, by no means are you disqualified from our digital signage franchise opportunity. We want to help put you in the best position for success, so spreading out your investment might ease your financial stresses. Signarama will assist franchisees who are exploring their financing options, and Item 10 covers the details of contacting third-party lenders. Our team can help you find options to lease equipment that might be expensive to purchase outright.
Have franchisees been profitable?
Every investor wants to know about the probability of return on their initial investment, however, not every franchisor is willing to answer those questions. Item 19 provides Financial Performance Representations, which answer the question, “How much money can I make?” Of course, you won’t be able to determine exactly how much you will make based on the information provided, but it at least gives you a good insight into previous brand success. This section is optional to provide in the FDD, however, we do include it in ours! Why? The franchise experience should be transparent. When we start this process, we’ll want to get to know as much about you as we can discover. So you should have the opportunity to do the same!
